My cousin's having a baby! 8DDDD It's a boy, and his name is Aiden, and I'm going to my first baby shower in January! My uncle is coming down for 2 days just for that

And I'm only three or four chapters from finishing my first original story! (Besides the NaNo one, which is technically missing about 1/3 or it) I just have to find the inspiration to write the last few chappies...

So I had a good Holiday 83 I got to hang out with my awesome freindies too, so that's even better than the material stuff.

Hmm... is it just me, or have the popular artists here on DA just gotten more popular, while us backwoods artists get less popular?

Just musing about this, lol. I used to get at least 10 or 20 views on my new arts a couple years ago, at least within the first few minutes, and now I only get 7 on a new deviation that's been up for a day... and my art back then sucked. LOL So does that mean my sucky art was more popular than my new art?

Well, I still think most of my art sucks, but I think it's better than it was years ago. :/ The problem with popular sites is that so many people join it every day, so it gets less and less easy to get noticed anywhere, to get people looking at your art and giving you advice (which is rare enough unless you're in art school).

It's like holding up a small framed picture in a sea of other people doing the same thing, and only the ones with the brightest colors get looked at.

Maybe DA is getting too popular for its own good... so popular that only a small handful of people get any recognition at all. (Like people who get recurring daily deviations... if you get one daily deviation, it's enough to set you for life here, but then you get two and you're a legend).

I dunno. Just musing. It seems that ever since DA changed and more people are joining, less love gets spread around. I remember back in the day when random people used to comment on my home page with little things like "Have a WONDERFUL day!" or just friendly hi's, but that doesn't happen much anymore... o-o

My brother got home from school and found two of our chickens dead in the yard with their guts all out. We wrangled up the last of them, but we couldn't find one more, so we figure that one was dead too...

Three chickens dead, including the golden one that liked to talk to you, and the white one that was the very first one we ever got... D8> Waahh....

The horrible part is that I heard them running and clucking in fright earlier... but it's not unusual for them to freak out randomly if they look up and can't find their friends, so I didn't think anything of it. ;________;

Poor chickies... I'm sorry....

I... seem to be better at traditional art no matter what I do.
